Crysis 2 is a better game than I originally remembered. It definitely has the characteristics of a 2011 First-person shooter, but with impressive cinematic set pieces in its single player campaign. While Crysis 2 did stray away from the elements of the first game, I have to admit that I love the war-ravaged New York City setting more. Visually, the game has always been stunning for a 2011 game. The gameplay is a step down from the previous game, but it's still loads of fun to use the Nanosuit abilities. The soundtrack and the game's overall atmosphere is amazing.

Overall, the linearity of Crysis 2 provides a standard yet cinematic Sci-fi warfare experience that somehow holds up. Its a decent game to scratch that FPS single player itch, especially when on sale.

This is how I imagine playing Call of Duty feels like. Non-stop action, buildings coming down, military jargon, army vehicles, explosions, etc. The aliens with their metallic armor give it a Transformers movie vibe. In fact the whole thing feels like an action game directed by Michael Bay, sponsored by Activision.

But by today's standards the gameplay is mid at best, the story is generic, and the graphics feel dated even in this remaster. The character models are particularly awful. I'd give this a mixed rating if I could. It's just eight hours of solid action, nothing more—nothing less.

An iconic game, my favourite in the series it has the best story, best gameplay and best soundtrack the theme of this game is fantastic and I listen to it during my free time, sure its linear compared to 1 but there are multiple ways to playthrough missions and I always feel back for Alcatraz and what happens to him.
