linux users...are you getting anticheat errors too?

im arch user...and game used to work fine yesterday with proton and mangohud stuff..update broke this and now game wont let me play. i tried ge proton 10-34, proton cachyos and both steamdeck and steamos flags..still didnt work.

yah it's good. fun game, open world is fun and not tiring, visuals and combat is very good. 9/10 maybe even 9.5/10. i recommend and highly rate playing this game. can be played for free too and you will still have a very good experience and wont miss out on much, choosing to pay for stuff is worth it but theres absolutely no need to if you dont want. i chose to pay for some stuff, just outfits and the battle pass thing, but you do not need these to enjoy the game at all. very very good game.

Story and presentation used to be bad, but have gotten really good.
- Gradual improvement in cinematography and character expressiveness from 1.0, peaking with some of the best I've ever seen in 3.0.
- MC used to be a self-insert blank slate, but has really developed into a more rounded character.
- Wife-of-the-week is still an issue, as important characters tend to fade into the background, but they've done some interesting departures in recent updates which give me hope.

Performance and exploration used to be good but have gotten really bad.
- I used to enjoy finding puzzles, chests and surprises, These days you just go to an icon on the map, press a button on the back of the terribly-handling motorbike, and you're done. Any sense of rewarding exploration is dead. A shame since the environments are huge and filled with potential, so having them be this empty feels like a waste.
- 3.0 performance is a joke.

Gameplay is mixed.
- Combat is flashy and satisfying and carried by amazing animations, but you just spam rotations in 99% of all content. There is a skill-based boss challenge mode which offers one-time rewards, but the repeating endgame modes are mindless stat-checks for whales. If you stay F2P, expect to take a year or more to even get enough characters to make any dent in these.
- Story gameplay is brain-dead. You cannot die in combat. You can't fail QTEs. They are just there for... vibes I guess?

I draw the line though at the anti-consumer practices announced for the recent collab. It breaks with its established monetization by having a new resource for pulling characters, which does not inherit nor carry over pity to the now-ironically-named limited banners. You could as a F2P player think of your time as being an investment into eventually getting some character you are interested in. Miss a 50/50 and you get a shot at something else at least.
Not this time. If you miss in this short window, that's it. You get nothing.

They'll make a lot of money, so ultimately what I say doesn't matter. Just know that after hundreds of hours (and hundreds more not even tracked on steam) this is the first time I really feel disgusted and burned by their greed.
