Update 1.0.14 – Less Clicking, More Growing

Hello everyone!

Update 1.0.14 is now available for Focus Grove. 🌿

This update focuses mostly on quality-of-life improvements, small UI fixes, localization corrections, and performance work. Some of these changes are tiny, but they should make everyday grove life a little smoother and less clicky.

Improvements

You can now enter the number of needed building materials and buy them all at once, instead of clicking the buy button over and over again.
Only vegetables dropped near full storage can now rot. This means you should no longer find rotten tomatoes lying in the field just because work time ended right after the harvest.
You can now adjust the zoom separately for each widget in the settings menu:
- Mini-Pomodoro
- To-do list
- Notepad
- Date widget
It is still not perfect, but it should give you better control over your workspace.
Habits can now be ticked from the past week.

UI Changes

Four-digit numbers now fit properly in the sell field and should no longer split into two lines.
The New Game button is now smaller.
As a small reminder: pressing New Game still asks for confirmation before anything happens.

Localization

“Fireplace” is now correctly called “Campfire”.
Fixed two places where Chinese translations were placed incorrectly.

Performance

Pomodoro statistics are now logged every second instead of every frame.
The game now avoids checking field extensions when there are none.
Additional performance improvements were made across:
- Pomodoro systems
- Achievements
- Pathfinding
- General gameplay

Regarding Ambiance

So first thing first, I have been enjoying the game so far. However, why is there a default bird ambiance? I never turned on the spring bird ambiance, but there is constantly bird chirping around. I'm not quite keen in birds as ambiance. Hopefully you can adjust it. Second of all, I was expecting the cafe ambiance is something like coffee pouring, espresso machine, baking sounds, or gentle knife tapping, but instead it is slight chatter from other patrons, which a bit disappointing. Hey, just a quick fix: we couldn't build Inventor's upgrades (sprinkler system, seeds dispensers etc.) for tomatoes, garlic, and multiple other fields.
Now we can!

Hello, Focus Grove community! Happy Friday! 🌟

We want to thank you all so much for playing Focus Grove and for your continuous support. To kick off the weekend, we have just released patch 1.0.12 with several improvements and fixes. Have a wonderful weekend of farming and relaxing!

Most important:

Storage Flexibility: You can now sell the starting storage shack, provided you maintain at least one active storage building on your farm.

Balance Changes

Shovel Refunds: Adjusted the shovel refund rates. It now starts at a 25% refund (instead of 0%) and scales up to a maximum of 90% (instead of 100%) at the highest tier.
Fishing Adjustments:
- Increased fish growth times across the fishing pond pier, river, and sea.
- Increased the time required to catch fish from rivers and seas (making them a bit more of a challenge to catch!).

Bug Fixes & General Improvements

Statistics Correction: Fixed the "Gathered Crops" statistics screen, which was erroneously counting collected coins toward the crop total.
Resource Initialization: Fixed an issue causing incorrect initialization of resources.

UI & Performance

Album: Fish in the album are now displayed in full size.
Sticker Count Fix: Fixed a visual bug where the album sticker count would overflow beyond the maximum number required to collect.
Shop Optimization: Improved the overall performance and responsiveness of the Crops and Buildings shop interface.
Building Mode Behavior: Changing the shop's active tab while having a field or building selected will now automatically disable building mode.

💡Quick Reminders:

Resource Exchange: Don't forget that you can exchange your coins for building materials inside the Tool Shed!
Decoration: Keep in mind that the picnic blanket can only be placed on sand.

Loving this cozy game so much! It gave me a new sense of enthusiasm for getting work done, which is not something I expected. I also love that it helps me build small healthy habits throughout the day - I've been using it not only for work sessions, but also to remind myself to drink water and get my nutrients in, just like my little focus buddies. It makes taking care of myself feel gentle and rewarding instead of like another chore. <3

I usually run the game on my PC with the in-game thunderstorm sound, while I work on my laptop, and it works like a charm! I also really appreciate how easy it is to submit a bug report in-game, great addition!

Really like a lot about it and would recommend! 🤗

Amazing game to have on a second monitor, hidden somewhere. It doesn't take much space on screen or on drive. It's just idly there. Really cute, great job

My original comment on the demo: I love this little game so, so much. It is now my favorite productivity companion! I use it for both work, housework, and play and can't wait for the full launch.

The dev team is also super awesome, and when I had a big glitch, were quick and responsive to help.

If you love productivity apps and pomodoros, you'll love this one! So, so, SO very cute!

The UPDATE!: It has gotten so much more amazing! There are so many more things to do and I am loving it all and discovering all the new things. The devs have done an amazing job bringing this wonderful game/tool from demo stage to what it is now. I think I'm going to become even more productive with it's help. It's so wonderful for helping with my tendency to go full squirrel and feels so much more rewarding when I stay on track than any other program.

Devs, you are all AWESOME!

Also: Get the supporter pack. The hot air balloon is adorable!

Timer Sounds

I just got this and it's super cute. I'm sure there's still plenty for me to learn, but my first question is: Is there a way to completely turn off the timer ringing sounds without muting the whole game? I like productivity/bottom screen helper games but hate timers and the sounds they make. Also, if there's a way to play it without forcing me to use the timers that would be lovely! Like a zen garden mode where I can work on things on my own and then pause the work when I'm ready. If I'm drawing/studying...
