New Judas Priest Album out now called Invincible Shield

Listened to the new single with the same album title called Invincible Shield. These guys date back since the late 60s and I have to say that honestly they only get better as they age and still pack a good punch after so many years of playing. All of the band members are looking in good shape and health and continue to play with the high virtuosity required to play Heavy Metal. Rob Halford's voice is also aging very well. I think we are in a for a real good treat with this new album. I also believe that they owe it to this newer generation of metal listeners to show them where their roots come from and that the golden era of metal wasn't just the 80s or 70s. It is also because of bands like Judas Priest and the like such as Rainbow, Iron Maiden or Motorhead, that we are able to enjoy other kinds of metal genres that have sprung from the evolution of the Heavy Metal genre. Give their new released single Invincible Shield a listen to and let us know what your opinion is in the comments below!

P.S.

I'll be headbanging all the way well into my senior years too \m/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwMZ20ZVZeE

Vincent Paul Abbott aka Vinnie Paul ex-Pantera drummer passes away

Yes unfortunatley as we all know the sad news of course, Vincent Paul Abbott aka Vinnie Paul passed away yesterday on Friday night in Las Vegas. The news hit me like a bucket of ice water and I had no time to even react or write a memoir as life's daily routine can get in the way, but hey here I am finally and regretfully typing the sad news.

The circumstances of Vinnie Paul's death is still unknown and according to a facebook post the family would like to have their privacy respected.

Vinnie Paul was born in Abilene, Texas on March 11, 1964. His father was a well known country song writer and producer which is where the Abbott brothers more than likely inherited the aspiration to be musicians. Him and his brother Darrell Lance Abott aka Dimebag Darrell formed the legendary heavy metal band Pantera in 1981 in Arlington Texas. The band was foremost originally a KISS glamorous influenced band throughout the early 80's until bandmates of different bands influenced and encouraged Pantera to play faster and louder. Lured away from the bubble gum metal scene, Pantera officially changed their sound and style with a much heavier and speed metal influenced record known as Power Metal in 1988. The loud and heavy sound of Power Metal was not enough though, instead they uniquely pursued their own distinguished sound that changed and revolutionized the sound and song structure of Metal. Everything about Pantera changed with their album Vulgar Display of Power. Particularly the Abbot brothers with their song writing style is what gave Pantera that special chemistry you couldn't find in other bands. Particularly Dimebag Darrell's high use of treble to bring in that razor sharp sound to his axe and Vinnie Paul's drumming which was more technical, clean and precise for most drummers at the time is what brought more melodic harmony to Thrash aka Groove Metal. Pantera brought in a legacy of playing groovy and bringing in soul to the brash sound of Thrash Metal.

One of the first bands I ever listened to was Pantera of course and I immediatey felt the ecstacy and soulful note playing Dimebag Darrell played and for the longest Vinnie Paul had been one of my favorite drummers. To see that both brothers are resting in peace is upsetting but it is what it is and they live on through their music which will never die cause its a priceless masterpiece. All of their work and legacy is a gem and there is only one Pantera and there will never ever be one again.

Power Metal:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDpkhGBc7AA

Phillip Anselmo on Vinnie Paul interview 2016:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFOHlcYzYcY

The Unforgettable moments with Vinnie Paul:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6ss5rIsLow

Pantera Live in Moscow 1991:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lXXvUIEy2o

New Judas Priest album - Firepower (single release Lightning Strike)

Get your leather spikes and denim jackets ready! Judas Priest again has released its new album called Firepower. Here is a new single from the album called Lightning Strike. The new track is grand and I hope to get to listen to the rest of the newly released album soon!

About the song. The song titled Lightning Power is very melodic, heavy and draws in a lot of Power Metalisque beats as always is Judas Priest's trademark style of composition. Judas Priest's choice of themes have never really been complex and instead they like to focus on epicness and all in all have fun with the flow. Some may not like this album or rather call it another Judas Priest album. This is Judas Priest though and everyone else has borrowed their style and have been copy cats. Accept them for what they are and what they produce.

Noteworthy Judas Priest has always innovated Metal so much with its unique way of making music and aren't stopping any time soon it seems. Primarily Rob Halford's high pitched vocals have been borrowed by many Heavy Metal and Power Metal bands alike. These guys do not seem to let age in any way dull out or change their stance of making great quality Heavy Metal. Scott Travis after all these years still is a machine behind the drums and Ian Hill along Glenn Tipton only get better with age. Rob Halford still has the same energy as always and shows much charisma. I cannot wait to one day see these guys live!

Here is an arrangement of several live performances including their new released single Lightning Strike. Thanks and enjoy the music. Have a wonderful day and continue on being awesom Heavy Metalers!

Live at the Seminole is a concert DVD I reccommend people to own it'd go well with your collection and is one of the most badass concerts I've watched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hivcEKcwXE

Live at the Seminole -Turbo Lover
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEGLhUZRZdY

2018 New Album Firepower (Single Lightning Strike)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUzcxJNZKC4

Happy New Year folks~Quiet Riot

Hello again folks. 2018 is right here. Snuck up for some of us and for others maybe the year couldn't have ended quick enough. But here it is finally 2018. A new year, a new fresh start, and a good year to listen to more Metal and stay out late drinking beer attending concerts. Here are my new years resolutions which is my personal list. You are more than welcome to tell us yours if you'd like. If you don't thats fine as well.

1. Stop drinking until your brains puke out. A little personal but hey sometimes you have to let the truth out even though it hurts.
2. Say nothing negative at all about a person. Instead say something positive about them. Gonna be hard one.
3. Workout more consistently. I used to be a religious runner. Eveyday I'd run atleast 4 to 6 miles.
4. Pick up music again. I played drums and guitar. I've put it off for a while especially since I've been in the military taking a lot of my time. Things have become more stable now. I plan to buy an electronic drum set or a guitar. Shits expensive but worth it.
5. Try and get as much college done for my own good into a career I'd do for the rest of my life.
6. Keep listening to more Metal.
So yeah those are mine. All in all this is just something I wanted to write cause I felt bored plus I'd like to get a few people on here to get to know me a little more for who I am. Life is too precious to waste set some goals for yourself as well and if you dont give up you'll surprise yourself to see where you get. Here is a nice tune to start with for the year:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaivSqwgAvk

~Happy New Years~!!!

It is the night of Christmas Eve

It is the night of Christmas Eve. It does not matter what religion, race, gender, or nationality you come from but get one thing Christmas is the most Metal holiday of the year my friends. We may not know each other, what we do, or where we come from exactly yet we are united through one cause and that is to keep the tradition of Metal alive which will never die. Throughout the history we have seen that no matter how much our reputation has been tarnished and the new fads that have tried to choke our existence out through it all we have still persisted and have managed to have a loyal following. There is not a more loyal group of fans, followers, and friends like in the world of extreme music like Metal. So in this Christmas let us have a peaceful time putting our differences away but knowing that we all share the common cause of the Metal my friends. It is almost like a religion in itself but however you take it it is something that means a lot to many. To me especially because I've grown up listening to this type of music. From the old cassette tapes that my father would play on the stereo to the CDs and Youtube and Itunes or now the spotify. We were exposed to it and now it is a part of our life to enjoy. That is truly living my friends. To drink in joy and attend concerts of your favorite band to see them play with passion and the look of happiness along with your friends to attend such conventions. That is truly living life. Hail all the Christian Metal listeners, the Agnostics, the Athiests, the Bhuddists, the Muslims, the Jews, the Pagans, Satanists and everyone. We accept you rich, poor, pretty, ugly, straight, gay, and anyone we accept you. There is no rule to conform to to listen to the best music that has existed since Mozart.

Merry Christmas Eve my friends \M/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsqC6HRS8Lc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtlACq9He1o

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5a5fHMlb4V0

Oh and hail Satan too \M/

Metallica Live in Moscow 1991

I don't post much about Metallica but not without a reason. We can say that it is the most well known Metal mainstream band known even to non Metal listeners. All their songs are played over and over that we can even sing along every lyric. It is a hated band among loyal Metal fans. Partly because of they're media Hollywood portrayed success, the Napster scandal, and the Rock albums that dissapointed loyal followers of old Metallica. Lets face it we hate them but we also love them. Even if we hate them it still says a lot of the band itself. I wont get deeper into the politics surrounding the band because it is pointless and a never ending debate. It is what it is like good ol Dave says.

What I will say though is that it is impressive to see how much global impact and success this band has had to this day. Four simple teenage boys that skateboarded and wore worn out nikes and ripped jeans formed a garage band off a newspaper article. What it has evolved into is dumbfounding. Compare it to the Harvard graduate, powerful politician, or business entrepenuer. It did happen though. All for the love of music, being different, and dreaming. Live on Metallica and continue on the legacy for both the lovers and the haters.

Moreover, here is a good quality video with good sound with a multiple angle view of their concert live in Moscow after the fall of the Soviet Union. Hands down one of the best concerts on the face of the fucking planet. Great fucking band and times like these we'll never see again. The world is too structured now and music stopped evolving after the 90s to the point where everything is just replicated. This is one of their best performances ever to date and you can just see the heart and passion they have to play. Sit back relax watch the concert and enjoy a beer because there probably wont be another Metallica post on here ever again or for a damn good while.

Note: This is not too endorse any political entity or nationality so no political arguments please.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4dyzd-SrL4
