Hi there, folks.

I thought I’d bring your attention to an excellent Half-Life fan project you may or may not be aware of: A Place in the West, a digital comic officially licensed by Valve earlier this year. It's not canon, but it has a license to operate commercially under the Half-Life brand.

Valve may have abandoned the Half-Life series, but passionate fans ensure that the series lives on in creative new ways. A Place in the West offers a compelling story set in the Half-Life universe in the years between the Seven Hour War and the return of Gordon Freeman.

Half-Life offers creators ample opportunities to create memorable experiences thanks to its unmatched worldbuilding. A Place in the West makes its own distinctive mark while staying faithful to the source material, brought to life with stunning detail by a talented art team who appreciate the unique aesthetic of the series and writers who understand its mythology better than most.

A very well done port of HL2 onto the EP2 engine, including models, textures, lighting, and more. Definitely worth a download, especially for those overdue on a replay of HL2. ;)
