Merry Christmas everyone! We wish all of you a very happy holiday season!
Today we are also very happy to announce that our community (falcon-gaming.net) has merged with another (falcon-gaming.com). The irony in the fact that both our communities had the same name is uncanny, but here is a run down on what it entails.
- We have a new Head of Administration, Joe Hills, who was the founder and CEO of falcon-gaming.com. He is officially our new Chief Recruiting Officer (CRO).
- We have laid down the plans for expansion next year to many more games.
- We can now set up game servers on a dedicated box.

For those of you wondering what the difference was between our two communities:
falcon-gaming.net - Made clans
falcon-gaming.com - Ran Servers
Together, we can now do both!

Expect more from us here at Falcon Gaming next year! Thanks again to everyone for their continued support. Till then have an amazing holiday season!

TeamSpeak 3 and Social Media Update!

As some of you may already know our TeamSpeak 3 Server has been up for just over a month again, after switching from a privately hosted server to a paid hosting provider. The adminstration had been polishing it up and keeping a close eye on its usage, and as of present, we are satisfied with its performance and have hence renewed the hosting costs for the next 12 Months!

Here is just a brief background on why we are making these changes for those of you who are unaware about the most recent events. Around 3 Months ago our Domain was hit with a Volume Based DDoS Attack. Our Website and Servers were hosted under the same hosting account so we did not feel and disruptions with regards to services. This attack however lasted for over a week sapping bandwidth every passing day. All services had to be inherently suspended for a month as soon as we hit the 300GB bandwidth mark as even though the DDoS Attack wasn't affecting our players, it was leeching funds off the Administration. Therefore we decided to decentralize services starting with our TeamSpeak server. Within the last month we have been able to maximize the security of our players, by utilizing logs, DNS activity and support services offered by our hosting providers. If it may help you guys understand what this means a little better it means that we can respond to any disruptions within our community immediately and minimize or completely eliminate the possibility of any server downtime.
Here is our most recent response: Lets just say some dude decided to DDoS our TeamSpeak server through our DNS ts.falcon-gaming.net... and that we maybe re-routed the DNS immediately to a very 'sensitive' website, that maybe logged the IP and client information of the attacker because they have the means and methods to do so... resulting in the attack halting within minutes... probably because his ISP was called to suspend IP... which might have also possibly led to legal action provided the attacker was within the jurisdiction of said websites operations...
