You can filter to INCLUDE VR games, but you can't filter to EXCLUDE VR games, and that should be an option.

It is there look closely in the field that begins with Indie (for me, like categories), select "see all" then notice the minus sign on the extreme right, hoover on it for it is the greatest ting in the world of the internet: a get this category out of my face button... and it works freakin fiiiiiine. I almost cried. then I selected the dlcs out and other shirtfruckries I didn't want by narrowing "games" "software" and one other... boom a very clean list that doesn't give me the impression I'm wasting my life. I think overall these tools ate improving. Happy new year!

I think I have VR in my list of genre to ignore for searches and queues and stuff.
I think it does help quite a bit... But if a game doesn't actually have "VR" as one of its genre tags it will still show up. And I suspect there are also at least some games that get filtered out despite only having VR as an optional feature even if the game isn't necessarily VR-exclusive.

Even so, if you want to do that as well... Click on your username in the far-ish top right of the Steam Client, Store Preferences, "Tags To Exclude". Sadly, I believe you can currently only have up to 10 genre tags in that list.

(Oh, and what Melt described might also be a way of adding genre tags to that list? Though those minus buttons might only be temporary for that search in particular, I've not used them before.)

Exactly. I understand DiRT 4 has a VR mode as an option, but it's not mandatory like for the new Half Life game. There's no reason to filter it out for that.
