Get A Grip On Worry

Worry is a mind vacillating between doubt and faith.

Anxiety and worry haunt us with the "what ifs" of life.

Anxiety asks, "What if?" What if you fail? What if you go bankrupt?

Faith is the ONLY answer to anxiety and worry. "God will provide" (Genesis 22:1-14)

F.E.A.R. = False Expectations Appearing Real

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself". -Roosevelt

"Do not be anxious about anything ..." (Philippians 4:6-7)

Let go of what you cannot control.

Anxiety is a contributing factor in high blood pressure, arthritis, heart disease and ulcers.

"Be careful or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life". (Luke 21:34)

"We live by faith, not by sight" (2 Cor. 5:7)

Lean on God for provisions: (Matthew 6:32) Be concerned with the spiritual and not the material.

"Our citizenship is in Heaven". (Philippians 3:20)

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also". (Matthew 6:19-21)

Wealth is not the measure of our significance.

God provides us with all that we need when we seek the kingdom first.

Food for thought:
1. What blessings has God provided in your life?
2. Is there currently a need in your life that has not been met?
3. Ask the Lord to help you abstain from worry. Give every situation to him. Pray about it and ask if there is anything you should do about it. Trust it to his care.

He Is Risen!

Fruits and Roots

Loose it and bring it. And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it,’ and immediately he will send it here.” So they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door outside on the street, and they loosed it. But some of those who stood there said to them, “What are you doing, loosing the colt?” And they spoke to them just as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go. Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it. And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
