Heya, douchebags!

Starbound recently hit 1.0 and with it a plethora of mods. We recently moved from renting virtual servers for our services to getting a dedicated box and are currently only running TeamSpeak on it.

And since I happen to be playing it quite a bit and was convinced to put something together I decided to post the information here as it will be running for quite some time.

There are a lot of mods, and a couple of stipulations to joining which you can find out below.

Joining the Douchebags Inc Starbound Server

We use a mod collection:

First you will need to press subscribe to ALL mods. The page will refresh. Afterwards go to the bottom of the list and unsubscribe from the Tier 9 Ship mod. We will be using an alternative one.

Unsubscribe from ALL Starbound mods from steam workshop unless you plan on launching outside of Steam. Otherwise it will cause crashing. Also do not have any mods already installed in your Starbound/mods folder.

Download the mod pack, and extract the .rar in your base starbound folder. ( e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound )

Download and replace the startup file called sbinit.config in your win 64 folder. ( e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound )

When you launch your game, make sure to allow asset mismatch.

When creating your character the first seven races are the vanilla ones, and are compatible with our ship mod pack. The next four races are the only custom ones that are compatible with this feature. I suggest sticking to those races. Vanilla + Avali, Felin, Viera, and Orcana.

Its also suggested you play in SURVIVAL mode. There are mods added to balance gammeplay.
