The draw for Qualification round one (QR1) has been made, with 12 participants having learned their fate in the first tournament matches.
12 teams in total have been drawn in QR1 completing 6 best-of-three match-ups. After we put together two teams we draw match number also, so we could made QR2 draw after all the matches finishes. First qualification round boasts couple of interesting matches, among others Balkan clash between Croatia and Montenegro.

After we released more tournament structure and schedule we are announcing five maps which will be promoted as European Championship 2013 official maps. As many of you expected, most people voted for mirage_ce.

Without further ado, five official European Championship 2013 maps are:

  We recorded exactly 1276 voters from unique IP addresses from all over the Earth. Even though you could possibly pick five maps a lot of people did not do the same, instead they voted only for their favourite map. Still, we tooked that kind of votes into account so mirage_ce won with 69% of total votes (877 votes). Dust2_se finished at high second place with 801 votes (63%). Just ten votes less achieved one of the most playable maps since CS:GO was released one year ago – inferno_se (62%). Fourth place went to nuke_se with 767 votes (60%) while fifth place was occupied by train_se with exactly 51% of your votes (646 votes).

European Championship will last over two months with all the breaks and rests between certain rounds. It will start on 4th of September while the semi-finals and grand final match will be played after 8th of November. We took into account numerous LAN tournaments so our event will not be played during such events.

Teams will have certain time to arrange match time and date by themself, within days we outlined. After they both agree about playing time and date they are required to contact the organizers and inform them about arranged time, minimum 24 hours earlier. Also we want to mention that semi-final and grand final match dates are not set yet, since it will be played during one day, in time that suits all four remaining teams.
