In my experience with past multiplayer projects, I've found that most people don't know how IRC works, or the dynamic behind it. If you're looking to get a match going, you can always post an announcement for everyone who is currently online in the group to see. If you don't know how to post one, look at the right side of the page and look for a megaphone icon.

Obviously, it also helps alot if you make a thread that goes along with it to get as many people's attention as possible.

maybe there should be an IRC channel? i'd like to play a 4p game but people haven't been around at the same time and /v/ threads just die immediately

Problem with AWBW is the game lasts too long. Too many participants take ages playing. I see the current almost completed game is already 10 months old.

We usually playing by mednafen and we all know about AWBW, but it doesn't have the same feel as the original game, because game can be played through months. This group aim to make enjoyable the old advance wars 2 by emulator online fonctionnality.

Announcement and event permissions have been enabled for everyone. If you want people to play with, you can use (but not spam) these. Remember to indicate IP, port, number of players and any other rule you can think of (restricted COs, number of turns, etc.)

I will be purging announcements every now and then, so if you need to sustain any long term discussion, post on one of this group's threads or on 4chan.
