I just finished Resident Evil 9: Requiem for the first time and honestly… what a game.

I went in expecting something similar to the latest RE titles, but this one really managed to mix the classic feel with the modern style. The atmosphere is heavy, that constant tension where you don’t trust anything around you. There were moments I literally stopped before opening a door like “yeah… something bad is about to happen.”

The story caught me more than I expected. It’s not just about scares, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes, connections to other games, and that feeling of “okay… things just got serious.” I still have some questions after finishing it, but I think that’s part of the charm.

Gameplay feels well balanced. Not too easy, not unfair either. Resources are limited just enough to keep you on edge, especially in tighter areas.

Graphics and sound are insane. The sound design especially… sometimes it feels like the game is playing with you. Footsteps, doors, noises in the distance… everything keeps you alert the whole time.

If I had to point out something negative, maybe the pacing drops a bit in some parts, but nothing that ruins the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed it and I’ll probably play it again to get everything.

If you’re a real Resident Evil fan, this one is 100% worth it.
