This game is hard. Its unrelenting, tense, and unforgiving. There is no hand holding easy mechanics. It has a learning curve from hell, and a lot of frustrating situations that can make you hate the game at first.

If you can get thru that, it's one of the most fun MP experiences out there. It gets your heart racing. Leaves you with difficult choices, and lets you decide your win condition. Do you peace out with zombies killed and a few clues found to level up, or do you take the chance to pvp and get the bounty?

Graphics are amazing. The environment pulls you in with its attention to detail and realism. The era is perfect for the game. Its revolvers, shotguns, lever action rifles. The perks are unique and varied. Doesnt take long to get some, so you dont feel too underpowered against higher tier hunters if you play it right for the first few games levelling.

The guns. Hard to use, but not in a stiff way like some games. Its because of the realism. When you find the gun that works well for you though, it gets fun fast. In the end, a bullet hurts like hell from any gun. Doesnt matter if it comes from a lvl 1 hunter, or a lvl 30.

The zombies are terrifyingly tense and well thought out. Trying to be stealthy yet knowing you will have to take care of a few lumbering fatties to get where you need to go, giving up your position is a tough choice.

The PVP is nothing short of adrenaline pumping. Knowing the map and the various sites is key, and why you see a number of negative reviews here. Not cause the game is bad, but because of that learning curve. Most of it is learning the map. Once you do, this game ramps up in fun factor very very fast. Give it the time it needs and you wont find a more fun game.

Part of what makes this game so great is the risk vs reward. If you lose, you lose a lot. You have to buy a new hunter and all its gear if need be. You may be low on funds. It can be discouraging. When you first start playing, do always go for the big bounty and pvp. Maybe its a better idea to get a few clues, get a few zed kills and peace out. It will help you learn the map, get a feel for the controls, and get you some levels and confidence to push your skills forward.

If you dont have the patience for that this may not be the game for you. Doesnt make the game bad, just not your preferred style, and that's fine. If you do have the patience, i look forward to seeing you in the swamp. Its an amazing game, and even better witht he recent patches and performance passes. Game runs great, looks great and feels great.

Im extremely impressed and having a ton of fun. It's an arcadey, HUGE drving game with a ton of content and exploration. Think Need for Speed Underground 2 as an online game, and with a dozen or so more large cities, plus huge amounts of countryside, and races that can tank literally seconds (jump events) or hours. I ♥♥♥♥ you not, hours. There is some rally events that can go upwards of 2 to 3 hours long.

Graphics wont blow your mind, but its a small sacrifice for the sheer size of the game world, which has no loads btw. Runs smooth as hell for me and no lag yet. All in all I highly reccommend.
