I have the same feelings as what RPGenie said in his review,

I think the game is fundementally good, it's charming, cute, and the appeal is certainly there.
But it lacks or rather throws out all sorts on convience for the sake of charm, and if thats the direction the dev wants to go for, power to them, but that's not for me.

Having to meticulously carry my creatures one by one, having to keep clicking them or hold them and then click to see their stats, just so I know which one is better for the tournament, or being limited to feeding 1-3 times a day is just not good gameplay. Let me go to the stage, click a tournament and give me a list of all my critters and let me click from there which one I wanna use, give me their stats, give me the stats of my oppoments, give me clarity, give me convenience. There is no reason to not just tell me "Oh in 2 star tournament they can have stats between 500-2000" and why in the other category I suddenly get coloured letters for the difficulty, they aren't even in order and the colours look mostly the same, how the hell am I suppose to easily tell if my boy has a chance.

The game is so restricted and claustrophobic in its design, it's so limited and the gameplay loop has no flavour.
>Wake up
>Feed my chuds
>Check if a chud spawned in the forest
>Enter tournament (Which I cant because my boye might be tired)
>Go on jetski
>Find garbage
>Go back
>Sleep on hammock
>Check forest again
>Sleep

Wow, really fun. Let me train the boys, let me pass time by doing minigames with them (If not multiple at the same time) to train them personally instead of just... giving them fruit and food. Kairosoft had this ♥♥♥♥ figured out AGES ago.

Either way I cannot reccomend, its too tedious and there isnt much game, I dont mind if the gameplay IS watching my boys win with a chance depending on stats, hence I bought the game, but have a game in the times between that.

Early Access Review
The game is alright, it's certainly not a bad game and the story was actually kinda interesting, but it's wayyyyyyyy too easy, and I get it right, the game is more catered towards kids or casual gamers but if I kill the second boss in about half a minute (Probably sooner if he didn't move) without taking any damage... Yeah thats where I am like.... Not for me, I seek a challenge and albeit the music, graphics and story being charming, if I don't feel challenged or atleast have a sense of things getting harder, it's where my interest drops.

Also can devs please stop making every damn game a rogue-like, this game could been so much better in general without that ♥♥♥♥.

Anyways I'll keep an eye on this, see what the finished product brings when it drops.

THIS ISN'T EARLY ACCES???? OOF.

Yeah no... Don't get me wrong, beaitiful games and I really like what the game has going but
- Spammy boring combat
- Doing anything is paintful and a chorse, especially crafting. It's a cool concept but it genuinely is not fun
- There isn't really much to do

Can't and won't reccomend this. I been excited for it for a while, but its a major letdown. Shame.

I really like the take and concept of this, feels very spore with the creature collecter aspect of evolution.
However despite knowing full well this is a demo, I feel like this game could benefit a lot from randomized stats on creatures (Basically having an F-SSS tier system) but despite making it JUST random chance to also be able to selectively breed species to attain these stats, also a randomized trait system would be really cool too, allowing a person to really minmax what they want then just a solid skilltree system.

Also I know this game is singeplayer but it was big potential for like a squad based PVE system... Hell even a 1v1 or 2v2 could be fun!

Either way this is a solid groundwork of a good game, I really like whats here so far but this game needs a lot more flesh as the hour demo was already enough to make me go "Yeah this is kinda getting boring now"

Keeping an eye on this title regardless!

Now that I got a few endings out of the way. This might be one of my fav Indie RPG titles that I have played (We talking along side Lisa, Undertale, Everhood). Sure it's a short 3 hours game... 20-30 if you play completionist but holy ♥♥♥♥, first of: Its incredibly autistic (positive) but holy labour of love. Despite being made in RPGmaker and the fact that its all drawn in MS Paint it's a genuinely beautiful game with a lot of work put into it, and I absolutely love every single character in this game.

Also I just love that the entire game its like 95% of just the stupidest dialogue ever written that will get a giggle out of you and then the final 30 min of the game hits you with just genuinely good story that gets you like "Oh ♥♥♥♥?" It's ONLY(??????????) 3 dollar(INSANE!!!!!), genuinely worth your time and cash. 11/10 will play it again for alt endings and will force my friends to try it.

Also this game might have made my English worse.

Everhood 2.

All is vanity.

Now, I for one completely understand the story and the message behind it and I agree. The payoff... is kinda... bad(?)... BUT THAT’S THE POINT. As other reviews might have mentioned "It's about the journey" and yeah, it is.... but that's NOT the underlying message. In fact. It was all spelt out and said already in EH1.

The story was Everhood 1. If you played it and got the "genocide” ending it alludes to letting go and moving on. You didn't. Hence you continued in Everhood 2 and that the cannon ending was yellow. Because you refused to let go and the game anticipated this, you instead want to keep being entertained, the game knows you're just a human, an outside force. A god. Do you want more Everhood? Sure. Here is the entertainment you wanted and an improved game, more arcadey, we already gave you the story, but if you love the game so much, then the shade will entertain you. Because it never ends in Everhood... As long the player wants more. It's just entertainment for a god refusing to move on, and I suspect that the people are playing along for your entertainment. Why? Remember the statement that keeps repeating "All is vanity" which means: "Everything is meaningless (“vanity”) without a proper focus on God."... Now who is god in this instance? It's you. You give these people meaning, by being the focus. Obviously, the game isn't going to give you a meaningful story, it's about having a fun time and being entertained, hence the ending was so silly.

People think a third game would hopefully explain the game... But a third game is not needed for that. The game is explained, but lore would be great, a third game going into the time police and the other planes of existence would be fantastic.

But as for this game. Yeah, it's not Everhood 1. Because it's not supposed to be, it's not lazy writing, it's an extension of EV1 of you not moving on.

If you don't agree. That's fine. clearly you missed the message... But I do hope that the people who played it have enjoyed their journey and are satisfied with the gameplay.

I would recommend this game to everybody, it's still an amazing game. Just... Play Everhood 1 first (twice).
Otherwise, this game might be "even worse"

Edit: Fixed more horrible English.

Yeah... No... Yeah... This will be a day one buy. Playing this gave me a sense of nostalgia and made me tear up playing through it. The music, artstyle and the general direction. Absolutely fantastic. When people call games a piece of art this should be held as a prime example. This demo is already phenomenal and I am so hyped to play the full release.

Keep it up.

The Black Grimoire Cursebreaker...

Now, this game is great. Is perfectly captures the feel and likeness of Runescape, making a fun nostalgic experience.

The problem what makes Runescape good is the quests and multiplayer...

Multiplayer: Multiplayer doesn't exist, atleast not in the form of trading and playing together... This is fine but it still lacks the community to really have much of an impact at all so the game feels hollow at times except your occasional lagging out player running by and I feel like a PVP arena would been great regardless even if there is no playing together or trading, PVP was still a big part of Runescape itself. It could been done better or rather not done at all. This is a personal pet peeve, I know u can turn off multiplayer, so I am not docking points, it's just a personal pet peeve as mentioned.

Questing: Questing is abysmal. It truly is the peak "Fetch quest" experience, now running around and fetching stuff isn't always bad... A player must go to another location sometimes, but running back and forth between A and B feels like a waste of time. But there is plenty of good quests which are well designed and fun but that brings me to my other major complaint

Grinding: The grinding... Is bad. Right, I get the entire Runescape feel of spending 50 hours chopping trees for a level up, and that's what Runescape is... However the bell curve is done horrible. Combat is easily gotten to 25 with some grinding but any resource gathering to even get to level 10 will atleast take you about 10 hours as you can only mine on type of resource that takes a while to spawn and it gives you so little EXP that it feels worthless. Early game should have you blasting through levels till you eventually reach the 25-30 gate... Then it should start getting kinda tedious and I would have been KINDA oke with it, if they didn't lock quests behind skill levels which is the biggest reason for a negative review. In no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ universe should you put a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 25 woodcutting requirement to kill a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crab. Its so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid, WHY. I get it right. If it was like a "Make a wheel for a cart quest" that u lock behind woodcutting and crafting as it makes human sense, but why a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fighting dependend quest. It's so stupid I am GLAD cheating in items is an option because I would have refunded at that point if I couldnt do that. You should never lock a skill requirement in a quest that has nothing to do with the quest, the entire tree feels like a "I lack the creativity to give a proper reason, here is a lvl 25 tree, enjoy" It's abysmal. You could have done a "We want to catch the crab, please make a cage for it, u need special tree of lvl 10 and crafting 10 to make this cage" if you really wanted to shoe horn some crafting and gathering level in. But honestly none at all would been prefered

And then... You have skills: Now skills are a neat addition... And pretty cool, however it feels like melee was an afterthought as there is barely any skills for the class as there much more fun and creativity in archery and mage and I wouldnt be THAT upset about it IF YOU DIDNT LOCK IT BEHIND A "Have lvl 25 in all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ perks" quest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dude. I been wanting to just upgrade my defense and attack, but no. I had to do an entire sidequest. And honestly, valid, fun, have a quest before I can acces the new trees. Makes sense... BUT WHY REQUIRE ME TO HAVE 25 IN ALL SKILLS. If wanna skill I will do those things in my own time, when I feel like "Hey I wanna spend my day grinding this, I can do that" but for pure progression to not get my ass handed to me, I am suddenly forced to have 25 levels across all skills which is terrible to grind as formerly mentioned. Just for me to have those 2 skills I need to do all that. Why not lock the trainers themself behind the level, not that it matters as you cannot level up the skill anyways till you reach a certain level.
Do quest > college opens > Sorry u need lvl 25 in my skill to obtain this training. That would have made 100% more sense, just replace the current quest with some dumb fetchquest or something, have the current quest as a "congrats for getting 25 in everything quest" and have a special reward for that. But doing it this was not thought out well at all and punishes the player for not grinding everything. Why even have the option to specialize at things at the start of the game to roleplay, if my character is suppose to know and do everything anyways.

Again, I am well aware that it's suppose to be Runescape in your vision and that grinding is a part of it.
but 1: Fix the leveling bell curve, maybe take some inspiration on Kenshi's bell curve.
And 2: Remove the stupid level requirement for things that make 0 sense.

Then I could reccomend the game because it's amazing otherwise, but I cannot reccomend the game in this state.

Also I apoligse for ranting and going off but nonsensical garbage tilts me dude.

EDIT: Fixed my abysmal english, clearly I need to grind that for another 50 hours too!!!!
