Hard to tell, if you have never played Dark Souls before, if you have low determination no patience or if you simply have no friends and dont want online friends (you can just go to discussions to seek for co-op partners), this game MIGHT not be for you. I would reccomend you play with a friend. When you play with a friend if the game gets on your nerves too much the game becomes alot easier with a friend.

Some people argue its not the "true" Dark Souls experience to play co-op. But that doesnt matter, If you are truly interested in Dark Souls if you ever finish this game. Then you still have an entire good game to explore Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition and Dark Souls 2 if you are a true diehard.
