Early Access Review
It's one of those games that will attract you by it's unusual presentation and low price but you'll end up regretting paying just a couple bucks! Because, even in just the case of entertainement, the game is worth hundred of times the price!
It's simple, spartan, yet complex. You can adapt your playing style thanks to the myriad of build possibilities and character choice. You can jump in blindly or you can carefully plan what to buy to make the run smoother, or even plan to face Death itself.
Great character selection, awesome choice of weapons, tons and tons of homages and, if you are italian like the programmer, it adds even more homages and jokes.
Great music and awesome graphic style choice, so nostalgic and energizing at the same time, and functional too: you can be in control even in the most complex of situation.
The game is perfectly playable now and it's still being update toward the final version so the fun just started!
Buy it and take a shot at Death!

While labeled as "Fan Pack", this collection of high quality goodies could be also labeled "Passion Pack": you can literally feel the love of the creators for their creation in every bit included. You just reach the folder, fire up the magnificent tunes and admire all the work put in creating the animation models. It's actually pretty useful for someone who's curious about the breakdown of model for that type of animation or is interested in its inner workings to start animating it. And that wallpaper is a blast, with the usual great style, composition and color choices that is one of the trademarks of Oppaidius.
It's a "Passion Pack", also because all the fans can demonstrate their love for the franchise by contributing in purchasing this, as an additional pat on the back for the authors and their titanic work in doing all this! A must have for Oppaidius connoisseurs!

Brilliant game, very immersive.
It has quite the simple gameplay but those few element are masterfully used to create a great atmosphere. The subtle music and effects, really add to the immersion even more, with startling touches that break the spell created by the meticolous search. The actress played her part splendidly, very nice acting.
The way it was filmed helped a lot too, especially with the special filter on. I heard that the author also run the footage trough vhs to get the right appearence for the videos. That's quite nice, a very retro method. The work put into this really gave it a retro feeling that helped with the overall result even more.
Some video were a little hard to pinpoint but, after having figured out a peculiar element in searching, it was much easier. Still, I had a piece of paper on my side, scribbling evidence, words, clothing details and such. It was almost like really being in the role of the detective.
It's extremely immersive without the need of fancy, expensive effects/graphic. Just good old imagination and passion from the developers and theactress. It's a game that really demonstrate that, when you have a good idea and don't try to shoot too far but just want to do the best of what you have, you are able to give birth to something amazing. That's why I love indie games, that's why they are the future.
Absolutely top notch, recommended.

I'll start with stating the obivious: you have to get and enjoy this game!
Why? Simply because it is gorgeous, sexy and fun, with none of the factors getting in the way of the others.
"But why?" you ask. Well, let me tell you about it.
It's a visual novel so you'll have to read but it's rare to have a visual novel that you want to replay just to re-read some gag or just some of the ruminations of the characters. The characters are easy to like character-wise and easy to love graphically wise. From the scaredy-cat manager to the gorgeous, stunning and strong beauties that are some of the focal points of the story. And the awesome Jimmy, a beloved character of the Oppaidius saga, is again on the stage, going overdrive!
The style is gorgeous AND unique, which is already a feat: you'll marvel at those beauties but also appreciate those expressions and gesture. And curves, for sure, what's bad about that? Did you read the name! It's a staple!
It may be a visual novel but there will be action too: multiple choices, humorous results, a very engaging minigame, which I'd replay endlessily and some more "steamy" action, with gorgeous animation. But there is animation during the game too, traditional animation to boot, a sight to behold. All wrapped in a mix of a retro and new style, with tons of homages.
And the music, oh my the music! Tracks from artists capable to match the beauty of the style and ideas of the creators: Tsuyoshi Kaneko, Masashi Kageyama, Sizlla Okamura and many more, provide such a stunning, retro, nostalgic, yet energetic OST that you'll hum it all day long.
So it's gorgeous, it's engaging, it sounds amazing but what's special about it? Man, you really want more. Ok!
It's a labor of love that talks about love. A wacky, fun, bold and sexy, yet sweet love.
It's a story capable of making you smile even during very gloom, very bad days.
It's no easy feat, very few games can do it.
Oppaidius can, fo sure.
So ask yourself: you want to have fun? Sure you want!
Then get it and enjoy the trip, it will be wort it!
...and in the immortal words of Jimmy: (P)Lunge it all the way!

Quite the awesome game, heavily atmosperic and challenging. The graphic may look dated but their grittiness really add to the overall atmosphere. We start our descent into madness with a confused Daniel, slowly unraveling the machinations of Alexander, slowly discovering the role of the characters, where good and bad become more and more impossible to see as distinct things. The puzzles are quite interesting and the fact that the monsters are impossible to fight heavily adds to the sense of urgence and horror. The sanity system really made me remember Eternal Darkness: while lacking the compelling allucitantion it aims to convey distortions and enhance even more the overall atmosphere, become even more crucial in the most difficult mode as sanity is as import as health, if not more. Hard mode is probably how the game should be played but this wouldn't allow to complete alla the game achievements, because this mode cut down on the tinderboxes and use them as currency to pay for saves. All in all a fantastic game and the little add-on, Justine, is quite the little gem. Recommended!

Quite the interesting Hidden Object game. While the base of the story is pretty simple, it boosts it's appeal using less common legendary elements and using the theme of reincarnation. Graphic is quite beautifully drawn and it uses a peculiar way to animate things. While there are some hiccups in terms of animation here and there, there are a lot of very nice moments to counterbalance it. The gameplay is highly customizable, ranging from difficulty selection to a wide array of ways to get hints, to skip the object search or even a way to skip puzzles entirely. As usual, I'd say to avoid the latter but it could suit the more casual audience. I'll recommend going for the expert difficulty if you have experience with this kind of games. I made my playtrough with such difficulty and it provided quite the challenge with the additional steps to many parts of the puzzles. It's also extremely handy to just leave the game and just restart when you basically left it. All in all, if you are fan of the genre or you want quite the challenging pastime at expert level, you'll like this game a lot.

Can you tell me about the last game you completed with a huge grin on your face and some tears in your eyes, due to too much laughter? In my case it was Oppaidius Tropical Cruise! You can't stop smiling in this gem of a game but at the same time your eyes will feast on the masterful mix of styles that the Oppaidious Team made as its trademark. Even better, they step up their game even if compared to the gorgeous visuals of the first Oppaidius: the characters are gorgeously painted and they literally exude personality, thank also to the improved animation that doesn't betray the retro roots of the game. The girls are gorgeous but, beyond that, between a joke and a sexy remark, we see some glimpse of sadness in their facade of seriousness and cheerfulness. That's what make you want to know more about them other than being stunned by their splendid realization. The main character best friend, Jimmy, is even more of a hilarious character in this second chapter: you can't keep a straight face when he's on the screen. The guy can really cheer up the gloomiest of your days! The music is astonishing as in Oppaidius tradition, operating in conjuction with the always inventive and immersing way the developers craft the choices (sometime you can't be a hero... but it will be worth it, you'll see!). Lots of homages to retro games too, so much easter eggs and also references to the previous game. A game, Oppaidius Summer Trouble, that I advise you to get it as soon as possible: you can play Tropical Cruise as a standalone title but its already exorbitant appeal will be even more magnificated by knowing what already happened to the main characters. So, what are you waiting for to get both games? Like Jimmy says, "(p)lunge it all the way"!

"(P)lunge all the way!" That's the tagline of the main character's hilarious best friend, Jimmy! Playing Oppaidius will have you laugh almost from start to finish, with some touching moments and some quite hot moments, thanks to the explosive sex appeal of Serafina, the main love interest! It's a Visual Novel type game but is quite original in its own way. Let's start from the presentation: it's made to mimic the old school japanese adventures, with such a nice pixel art, mixed with hand drawn characters, beautiful effects anche clever uses of the media (we can say that the game borders on meta some time, your cursor will have a will of his own...you'll have to check it out! That's great!). The sound is top notch too, featuring also great vg musicians as Norihiko Hibino, Masashi Kageyama and Tsuyoshi Kanenko! You can really see this is a labor of love: it's love for the beautiful female figure, yes, but also for the videogames as media and art! Tons and tons of homages, a love letter to what vgs are. And through music, graphic and nice touches, you really can feel that nostalgy of past times, of a past summer, a bittersweet love that still hurts but that helped you grown up a bit. Can a ecchi game be able provoke such sensations? Yes, it can. Oppaidius is this and much more, give it a shot!
