As the title implies, I ended up using Void Linux. I feel at home there and it is incredibly stable for what it is supposed to be. Especially considering it is independent and rolling. There is plenty of videos that covers the one feature that make it unique and why I use it. It's mostly about the package manager and how it handles services.
