Hello there, fellow Tiny Terrace enjoyers! 🌿🌱🌞

Here's some more fixes and adjustments, some new plants and products to make.

This update also has the new forest generation for new saves, so yeah you can look at that, I think it looks better than the previous version.

generation is now seeded, but currently random seeds are created at the start of a new save, but when i make further adjustments you'll be able to type in whatever seeds you want.

🔨Here are some things that I have added/fixed/changed.

Conceded the right half the flag to The Spiffing Brit. ☕
Added New Forest Generation (only active for new farms, remains the legacy gen for already existing saves.) \[Soon I'll redo the Save creation, to allow selecting from some different options.]
Added some more plants \[4 from the new forest gen, 2 unlockable from progress goals]
Added some new craft able products
Added a retire button in case a fella is no longer wanted\[other than the starter fella].
Added a thing that allows interruption of some types of "Tasks" when something more important pops up.
Changed the way beehives work to ideally make honey output match surrounding plant type percentages correctly.
Fixed issue where first load was faster than the next load.
Fixed some weird visuals when finishing a progress goal
Adjusted cloud spawning
Fixed an issue with the inventory
Adjusted the way resolution changes happen(possibly fixing some instant crashes)
Added launch options to force DirectX 11 or 12(default option should pick whichever one you have)
Fixed the Move and Resize cursors not appearing when adjusting the windowed mode(sometimes if flickers when dragging fast)
Capped fella cost
Removed OS Fullscreen key commands, replaced with F11 or Alt + Enter(which is ideally the keys already used but not the swap is handled by the game for consistency.)
Fellas now stop fishing when picked up, instead of freaking out.
Made the Nighttime brighter, and a little more blue
Fixed Beehive upgrades not being auto-unlocked upon load due to my recent changes to loading
Fixed some stuff that would cause fellas to give up.
Fixed some visual issues with the tile highlighter
Fixed QE seed selection adjustment highlighting the wrong thing when going from empty to final seed
Fixed an auto-seeder issue.

Early Access Review

Recommended for a chill experience. A few things for the creator to fix/add.
1. A Tutorial. I don't know if I accidentally skipped it while changing settings but I didn't see a Tutorial. While the game is very simple, being dropped in with no explanation on mechanics is a bit rough. It's not impossible to very-softly-soft-lock yourself in the Early Game and have to wait on Crows for the CHANCE they drop Barley Seeds, if you make a mistake experimenting with mechanics like expanding and building.
2. More detailed explanation on stats. While I can see Carry as how much a Fella can Carry, the stat points don't tell me if I am increasing by their base Carry or Extra Carry, or how much that amount is. Similar with Speed.
3. Stats between types of Fellas are either too similar/close that Romaine can take you from Early to Late Game until Kale/Radicchio easily.
4. Fishing Pond Side-Minigame is too expensive to upgrade/profit from in the Early Game, and a pure Sunk-Cost in the Late Game. It should be rebalanced to base the sell prices on Goal Progression at very slow linear rate to avoid over-doing it.
5. There is a small exploit where when using Area Seed Place Mode and purchasing missing seeds, where after purchasing a large amount of seeds, if you purchase again for a small space, your Last Seeds will still plant, but your New Seeds will not only plant but they will cost the total price of the Last Seeds + New Seeds, AND they will give you the total amount of Last Seeds that haven't yet been placed as New Seeds in your Inventory.
The way to exploit this is to place a sizable field of Barley (ex.200 Seeds), then place another field of an expensive Crop (ex.200 Coffee), then if you time it well enough you can have 200 Barley and 200 Coffee planted for base Cost, BUT ALSO get X amount of Free Coffee Seeds for the Cost of X amount of Barley Seeds.
This exploit is likely caused because when you buy seeds using Area Plant, they go directly into your inventory where they are deducted from in real-time, and not all at once.
The way to fix this is simple due to the fact that you can't cancel planting after placing Seeds, so you can make Area Planting deduct all at once, and keep the real-time deduction as visual only.
6. Pathfinding Improvements. More often than not my Fellas who I set to Carry will INSIST on filling up on items and walk across the Terrace for an item. I think a simple check for the Closest Storage, and whether the Fella and the next pick-up have the same Closest Storage. If True, Pathfind there and retrieve the pick-up. If False, or if there are no remaining pick-ups around the Fella's Closest Storage, move to another Storage. Definitely room for optimization there as I am not a programmer, but I think it would reduce frustration and micro-management of the Fellas, especially the ones entirely specialized in Carry-ZeroSpeed Builds.
7. Add a Focus for Buildings/Interactions. I want to be able to have my buildings like Cooking Pots/Juice Barrels be able to be refilled by select Fellas so I don't need to change Task Targets between Carry and Buildings repeatedly. After getting Sprinklers the Task Targeting Menu has a very solid Meta of Weeding (To ensure Growth Speed), Planting (To start Growth ASAP), Harvesting (Especially for Multi-stage Crops), Carrying (To Store Crops), then Buildings (Collecting/Refilling). Watering is forever at the bottom after Sprinklers. But this causes problems if you are planting a large amount of Multi-stage Crops like Blueberries, as Harvesting is always faster than Carrying, the ground is covered in pick-ups. And until Carrying is complete, any Fella with a Focus on Carrying or Idle Fellas, will not interact with Buildings beyond Collecting.
8. Grouping Production Buildings. For Buildings like Cooking Pots/Juice Barrels there are options for All and Connected, while these options are useful, to maximize ease of access to Fellas it is better to keep holes between Buildings as paths, this limits the use of the Connected button while making the All button very overbearing. If there was an option to drag-select buildings to group for Production it would be more convenient for having multiple productions in Parallel.
Other than these few fixes, and one exploit, I don't see any mistakes. Game is well done, relaxing to play, even if a bit grindy.

Early Access Review

Definitely one of the best desktop idlers! I'm having a lot of fun with it and would heavily recommend, even though there's a faiiir bit of jank. And oh, that jank...

The UI and state management needs work- ie. planting seeds is a game state that's still active while in build mode, so you'll accidentally end up placing seeds. I know, there's an empty selection option, but I think in terms of UI scripting that's not the most intuitive way.

Would also love to see something like an eyedropper tool to copy decorations around the environment or something. Also, you're able to overwrite any tile with workable dirt tiles but not the other way around. This is actually really frustrating constantly having to flick back and forth through the menu to decorate when you decide to replace your dirt with grass for example. You also have to hit the confirm button for destroying buildings or tiles constantly... A hotkey or setting for this would be great to see.

Tiles in the shop have cute flavor text but for the search function to currectly lump them together in the shop they should probably all include the word tile in the title, however the search function pulls stuff.

Just overall little QoL in terms of navigating the UI and assets more seamlessly would do wonders, but it's still solid and extremely satisfying to watch your little fellas do their work on the side.

Game keep crashing

I was playing just fine for 4 hours straight. After that it keep crashing around 5-20 minutes of session each time. I have checked the internal file, redownloaded the game and checked my graphic driver doesn't fixed it. *IDK if there is a place for submitting bugs so I will leave this here for now....

Hello there, fellow Tiny Terrace enjoyers! 🌿🌱🌞

I messed up on the last patch, which caused new farms(when you hadn't played prior) were unusable, so sorry to anybody in the past 3ish days the tried the game.

This patch fixes the issue, but if you had one of those broken farms they still wont be usable so you'll have to start a new farm and everything should function properly.

here's some more fixes.

🔨Here are some things that I have added/fixed/changed.

Fixed first farm(for new players) being unplayable.
Fixed the loading bar not being reset properly after first load.
Fixed Fermentation Rock "All" & "Connected" multi-production buttons not starting the recipe on the other selected buildings.
Fixed leftover objects from menu hurting performance
Fixed Extra objects spawned on new farms.
Fixed visual sorting issue on Tree Trunks and Shadows
Fixed missing plants in the journal from the v0.93 update.
Fixed issue that would break the building move mode, if it was swapped out of mid move/selection of a building.
Fixed Wind & Particle settings not affecting the first playthrough correctly if never re-loaded the save.
Fixed middle dirt and pond not being destructible objects
Disabled plant particles for now as they are visually incorrect.
Made all building particles respect the particles setting.
Fixed issue with the middle seed selector tutorial X button's collider.
Fixed middle menu sliding up while trying to press the X button to close the tutorial popups
Fixed first click not registering.

I fixed some things, like the destruction of the newest added tiles, and some other things :)

🔨Here are some things that I have added/fixed/changed.

Adjusted the loading some more
Added a loading bar
Fixed some building destruction issues (including the decorative dirt, grass, and other small detail tiles newly added in v0.93)
Fixed an issue with Fermentation Rock
Fixed an issue that existed across all production buildings
Fixed the bottom bar tool icons being desynced their actual active state
(?) Fixed a building supplying issue causing fellas to stop supplying when items are still available.
(?) Fixed ghost carrying
(?) Fixed the issue of not being able to grab eggs from the delivery men if the egg is outside the farmable area.
(?) Fixed ground re-appearing after deletion
Fixed Fermentation rock showing compost recipe if you happen to have not made vinegar yet at the time of placing the building
Fixed Auto-Seeder drones not fully going back into the box when done placing seeds
Fixed issue causing infinite errors when placing an Auto-Seeder at the edge of the farmable area

Is there any way? Now, that i have them work in dedicated role, i see that lots of points could have been put to much better use

Mushroom Bug

Has anyone encounter a bug where you can cook mushroom soup anymore? whenever one of the fellas delivers a mushroom to the cooking pot the recipe doesn't start, it just show the icon as if expecting to get a mushroom thx

love this game so far, just some suggestions + bug report

1. please add a filter for the shop to hide/separate decoration objects 2. enable the screen to be moved not just with WASD keys but also with mouse (so we can 'grab' the screen then drag it to move to the desired part of the map) 3. maybe adding an auto-selling machine so the game can be fully automated? (similar to the auto seeder, designate the item type then enable it to be automatically be sold) 4. higher tier sprinkler and auto seeder - or maybe even a combined version of the two! BUG - with beeh...
