Monthly Update June 2026
May Recap

New Guides:

The INDUSTRIA 2 guide is finally complete! The previously broken achievement was fixed last month and the two achievements for collectibles that were presumably unobtainable have been removed. This means it's one of my shortest guides yet, but I hope it's still useful.

By contrast, the 100% Achievement Walkthrough for Whirlight was way more work than expected. While I loved the characters and the story, the item-based puzzles were a bit tedious. Who would have thought I'd once have to pop a balloon with a rose to scare away a seagull, which drops a bowling ball, which destroys a glass shop down the street, so I can get some shards to fill a glass bin, so it gets emptied and reveals a basement, so I can... and so on. Still, I had a great time guiding the game and I recommend it to any point-and-click lover.

Because of the length of Whirlight, I had no time to cover Call of the Elder Gods upon release. I almost gave up on guiding it when I received a guide request that I couldn't say no to. And I'm so glad I played it - similar to its predecessor, it's the perfect mix of exploration and puzzles.

If you want to see another game covered, feel free to leave a comment in the Upcoming Guides thread.

June Plans

Upcoming Guides:

The 7th Guest Remake is another game a friend suggested in the Upcoming Guides thread, and I'm really excited to play it. I never got around to playing the original game, or the VR port, so with the non-VR remake it's finally time to dive into this world. The setting and the puzzles look extremely promising.

Another puzzle game releasing this month is Dimhaven - The Lost Source, the new installment from the developers of Quern - Undying Thoughts. This is one of my favorite Myst-like adventure games, and I honestly enjoyed it even more than Obduction or Firmament by Cyan. My hopes are high, especially since they got the publishers of the House of Da Vinci series on board. Can't wait to play this one!

Giveaway Update

Sadly, due to legal reasons, I won't be able to run giveaways for the foreseeable future. I'm really sorry about that and I totally understand the disappointment :/ But it could get really risky for me, even if I just share some Steam keys. Hope you'll still stick around :Redfall_Heart:

Monthly Update May 2026
April Recap

New Guides:

My plans for Gecko Gods and Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss worked! With just a short delay of 1 day, I was able to publish both guides close to their release dates. Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss reminded me a lot of the Sherlock Holmes The Awakened remake, but with even more puzzles and deductions. It was a lot of fun, and I can absolutely recommend it to all Lovecraft fans.

As anticipated, I had to cancel my plans for Ground Zero, which was released on the same day as the other two games. Time was tight, and the achievement list indicated complex collectibles and secrets, which were too much to handle during that time.

Fortunately, I had some more time toward the end of the month, and, to my surprise, another game by DON'T NOD was released - Aphelion. I'm a huge fan of their games, so I immediately purchased and played it. After Tell Me Why, Banishers, and Lost Records, it's now my fourth guide for their games. And it was a lot of fun again, this time exploring the frozen landscapes of a foreign planet and climbing my way through caves and up cliffs.

Apart from the new releases, I refactored one of my older guides and put it on the website: She and the Light Bearer[spire-of-completion.com]. Originally released in 2019, this was one of my first point-and-click adventure game guides - and it showed. Some instructions were unclear or outright misleading. Hope the new version is more helpful and won't confuse players anymore :)

Lastly, INDUSTRIA 2 was released just a few days ago. However, I wasn't able to finish the guide yet as I'm missing some collectibles and one achievement, which might even be broken. I really hope I can figure it out in the next few days.

May Plans

Upcoming Guides:

Whirlight - No Time To Trip is a point-and-click adventure game developed by the same team that made Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town. I'm currently playing and guiding it, and I'm having a really fun time so far. Its humor is definitely spot on!

Additionally, the Lovecraftian adventure game Call of the Elder Gods releases in just 2 weeks. And oh boy, am I excited. I've replayed the first game like five times for my Call of the Sea - 100% Achievement Guide, and while usually the third or fourth playthrough starts to get exhausting, this game was fun over and over again.

Hello! Just dropped in to show support.
It's amazing how much you've done in both completions and time to make guides for them!
