Client-wide launch options/gamemode integration
Hi everyone !
I think we all want/need a way to easily setup client-wide launch options or at least (if this cannot be considered) get some gamemode integration in order to automatically prefix gamemoderun on every game launch.
Hope Valve dev's (which I hear are kind, super smart and excessively good looking ftr) hear me out <3
Wish you all a good day !

Wouldn't run Steam itself with gamemode have a similar result?

i'm pretty sure games launched by steam will be run in the same context as steam itself, which is good for per-app changes that gamemode might apply

but on the other hand some changes are system-wide and ideally should only be triggered when clicking "play" in steam, not when you're browsing your games library (eg: cpu governor set to performance, on a laptop)
there is already a way to set a global launch parameter for all steam games:
https://gaming.stackexchange.com/a/330902

but it's an unwieldy hack

Valve should definitely add some friendlier way to edit this, via steam settings
Just in case anyone is interested, I was also looking into how to do this solely through Steam, so I've made a plugin that can do so that you can install using a tool called "Millennium", you can find it here: https://steambrew.app/

It's not yet available on the Plugins tab, so you can install it from my Github at https://github.com/BlafKing/steam-global-launch-options using the manual installation guide! :)
