For a Better (Steam) Client

For more than a decade, Steam has been the best way for many gamers to play on their PC. A client with limited impact on performance, with countless useful features and suitable for the needs of a large number of players, from multiplayer and social enthusiasts to those who prefer a solitary experience.

With the release of Steam's new graphical interface (chat and library) all this has changed radically.
Despite some interesting features present in the "new" Steam, many users have complained about a greater difficulty of use due to the loss of certain functions, the visual heaviness of the new graphics and the excess of hardware resources used.
Among the users most affected by this change were people with low incomes, who were required to upgrade to a better performing computer and those with autism, with a form of OCD or with visual problems, often physically unable to use the new Steam interface.

However, the protest movement calling for greater attention to these issues aimed at making the Steam experience better from a user point of view has been silenced by grouping and relegating "critical" discussions to less visible areas of the forum, and then close them.

This group was created to collect these voices and to provide hints and tools to mitigate the negative effects of the new Steam interface, hoping for a future in which Steam will return to being a client designed for all gamers.
